We all know that every child, regardless of where he or she comes from, is entitled to good education. There is no arguing that education must begin at a young age (kindergarten) in order for a child to be interested in learning as they get older. For the children in Mlenga village, Zomba, Malawi, this is the absolute opposite. Their entire school was destroyed by the torrential rains that occurred from 2021 to February 2022, and they had no place to conduct their classes. As a result, the villagers decided to allow the children to attend classes in what used to be a kitchen.
During the survey, which was funded by the Rotary Club of Laguna Niguel . It was fascinating to learn that the school that was destroyed was actually built by the locals in 2020 using the limited resources they had. As a result, it was unable to endure the torrential rains that occurred. Of course, they did their best with the resources they had.
"We realize we need help with a number of things. However, the children should be assisted first." Mlenga's leader stated. The development of the school will have numerous advantages for both the students and the parents. This amazing idea can benefit the entire village. The project comprises four classroom blocks, a training shed, a kitchen, biodegradable and non-biodegradable trash bins as well as a children's playground.
Inclusive and quality education is the key to achieving all of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030. Increased education allows people to break out of the cycle of poverty and empowers them to lead sustainable and healthy lives. The following are some of the benefits of the school project

It is so touching to see how some areas in Malawi are suffering in terms of education. Let's work together to improve our education in remote areas
